The flats are located in the coastal area of Eastern Cantabria and 7 km from the Cantabrian Sea coast where the beaches of Oriñón and Arenillas are located. It is an obligatory stop on the Camino de Santiago de la Costa or Ruta del Norte (30.6 km stage between Castro Urdiales and Laredo) and halfway between Santander and Bilbao on the A-8 Cantabrian motorway.
